Grants Program
This is one of our most thriving programs here at WCHH.
The Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless, Inc. (WCHH) offers a Grants Program to qualifying organizations for the operational needs of active members or cooperating food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.
When funds are available, agencies can apply for grants up to $2,500 every six months. This amount can also include an optional $500 line of credit with The Food Bank for Westchester in order to purchase food. When an agency is approved, funds must be used to meet the operational needs to continue serving their community.
Generally speaking, we do not give grants to groups or individuals that prior to distributing food, solicit a specific monetary contribution or require attendance at a religious service, prayer meeting or similar activity.
